A former Tocqueville Asset Administration fairness analyst who allegedly punched a New York subway operator within the face on the Coney Island subway station Dec. 16 appeared in Kings County Prison Courtroom in Brooklyn on Thursday after pleading not responsible to at least one rely of second-degree assault and after the transit employee filed a separate civil grievance towards him in Brooklyn Supreme Courtroom on Sept. 11.
Why it issues: The fairness analyst, Jean-Francois Coste, faces as much as seven years in state jail as a result of he’s charged with a felony within the felony case.
The subway operator he allegedly attacked, Tanya McCray, is looking for “the utmost sum permitted by regulation … all along with the prices and disbursements of this motion,” based on the grievance.
She can also be looking for compensatory and punitive damages towards Coste.
What to know: McCray alleged that she was beginning her shift at about 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 16, when she noticed Coste attempt to enter a room within the Coney Island subway station that was for workers solely.
